We are blasting out of Senior Infants

What a fast year that was! We had so much fun in Room 16, we learned lots of new things and made some great memories!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

On Tuesday we had some yummy ice cream outside with all the other senior infants.

School Tour

Last Friday we went on our school tour to Sam Moore's pet farm. We had great fun feeding the animals and searching for fairies in a fairy fort.

Our trip to the library

Today we visited the library. We really enjoyed looking at all the wonderful books. We picked some of our favorites and read them. We also read some books to our friends.

Handa's Surprise

Today we designed our own baskets of fruit inspired by the story Handa's Surprise.

Last Friday we performed our play, The Three Billy Goat's Gruff. We put on an amazing show. As a treat for all our hard work we got some yummy ice pops at school today. We sat outside and ate them with room 16, who also performed with us on Friday.

Our school play

We are busy practicing for our school play, The Three Billy Goat's Gruff. We will be performing our play on Friday the 17th of May at 11.30 a.m. We are so excited.

Our Class Tree

We have been looking out for signs of Summer. We noticed how the leaves on the trees have become much fuller. We decorated our own leaves and stuck them on to our class tree.

Dance, dance, dance

Every Monday we have dance with Kevin. We love learning new songs and dances. We are great movers in Senior Infants :)

A visit from Garda Seamus

Today we had a very special visitor in our school. His name was Garda Seamus. He taught us lots about road safety. We even got to see inside the Garda van!

Weigh to go!!

We love learning all about weight in Senior Infants. We have been weighing lots of different items in our class to see how heavy and how light they are. We played a game with the balance, we had to try and make both sides weigh the same, it was great fun!

A visit to the Garden Centre

Last Thursday we visited our local garden centre, Garden World. We had lots of fun exploring and looking at all the different plants. We even saw some fish at the garden centre.
